What do I need to register for me_HeLi-D?
You need a valid email address to register.

Are there additional materials for the me_HeLi-D program? Where can I find them?
Yes, there is a handbook for teachers, video guides, and this FAQ document. These materials support you in working with me_HeLi-D. You can find them on the project website: Manual and Materials

Can I remain anonymous when working with me_HeLi-D?
Yes, you can use a pseudonym when registering to remain anonymous. In that case, please make sure that your real name cannot be identified from the email address you use for registration.

I forgot my username. How can I still log in to me_HeLi-D?
When logging in, you can enter your email address in the top field instead of your username. After logging in, you will see your username in your profile and can change it there if you wish.

I forgot my password. How can I still log in to me_HeLi-D?
Click on “Forgot password” in the login window. To reset your password, you must enter either your username or the email address you used when registering.

I forgot which email address I used to register for me_HeLi-D. How can I still access the program?
Enter your username in the top field when logging in. After logging in, you will see the email address used for registration in your profile.

What is the difference between the courses English 1 and English 2?
The number 1 indicates the standard version of the course. The number 2 refers to the easy language version. In this version, the texts are shorter and written in simpler language. Course 2 roughly corresponds to level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

I am enrolled in English 1, but instructions keep appearing in another language. How can I change this?
Make sure you have selected the correct language. Click on the small arrow “” in the top right corner of the screen next to your profile picture or initials, then click on “Language” and select “English 1”.

How can I switch from English 1 to another course?
You can enroll in any available me_HeLi-D course, including multiple courses at the same time. However, your progress cannot be transferred from one course to another. You must start from the beginning in each course.

What do I need to work with me_HeLi-D?
To work with me_HeLi-D, you need:

  • A digital device (computer, laptop, or tablet). You can also access the program via smartphone, but this is not recommended because the screen is too small to follow the story in the Landscape of the Mind and complete all exercises properly.
  • A functioning internet browser. We recommend Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
  • Headphones to listen to videos and audio content without disturbance.

What is the sidebar on the left side of the screen for?
It provides an overview. If it distracts you, you can simply close it.

I want to enter a session but do not have access. What should I do?
You must complete the mandatory activities in the Basecamp first before you can enter a thematic session. If there are two sessions on the same topic, you must complete the first one before accessing the second.

Do I have to complete the sessions in a specific order?
No, you can choose the order of the thematic sessions yourself. However, if there are two sessions on the same topic, you must complete the first before starting the second.

Can I work on multiple sessions at the same time?
Yes, this is theoretically possible. However, we recommend completing one session before starting the next.

Do I have to complete the mandatory activities within a session in order?
Yes. You must follow the prescribed order and can only access the next activity after completing the previous one.

Why don’t I have access to the optional activities?
You must complete part of the mandatory activities in a session before gaining access to the optional activities.

Why can’t I click on the last point on the Basecamp learning map?
This point leads to the final activity of me_HeLi-D and the completion of the program. You must complete all mandatory activities in all sessions before you can click on it.

When I click on the Help button, no information appears / the information is not displayed in my language. What can I do?
Make sure you have selected the correct language. Click on the small arrow “” in the top right corner next to your profile picture or initials, then click on “Language” and select the language that corresponds to your course. 

Where can I find the avatar generator?
Go to the Basecamp learning map. You will find the avatar generator below the map.

Do I have to create an avatar?
No, this is optional. You can work in me_HeLi-D without creating an avatar.

How can I save my created avatar as a profile picture?
Once you have created your avatar and click “Save,” the face will automatically be saved as your profile picture.

Why is my screen flickering while working in me_HeLi-D?
First, switch to full-screen mode. If the screen continues to flicker, please use a different browser, preferably Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

Why does the activity not start when I click on the corresponding point on the learning map?

  • You may not have completed the previous mandatory activity. Please check this and make sure you saved your entries or answers.
  • It is also possible that the activity needs a few seconds to load, depending on your internet connection. If nothing appears after a few seconds, reload the page (in most browsers, the reload symbol is a circular arrow located at the top left next to the address bar). Repeat this until the activity appears.

What can I do if I cannot complete an activity or cannot move on to the next one?

Make sure that you:

  • have not overlooked a task (for example, if it is embedded in a video or interactive book),
  • have completed all tasks (check whether you need to scroll further down on the page),
  • have achieved the full score where required,
  • always clicked “Check” (sometimes “Save” or “Submit”) after completing a task,
  • clicked on the finish flag at the end of multi-part tasks to save your progress.

What should I do if “Save” or “Check” appears instead of “Check answers”?
In this case, you can click “Save” or “Check” — your answers will be saved just the same.

Why can’t I continue even though the activity summary shows all points and 100% progress?
Make sure you click “Save my answers” (sometimes “Submit report”) in the summary so that your answers are officially recorded.

Why does the summary show “Submit report” instead of “Save my answers”?
You can click “Submit report” — your answers will be saved just the same.

I only receive partial points for a task, no matter what I do. How can I continue?

There are a few activities where only partial points can be achieved or where it does not matter if you do not reach the maximum score. You will still be able to proceed to the next activity. These activities include:

  • “Mastering Emotions: The Emotion Wheel” (Resilience Session 1)
  • “Building Resilience: What Else Can Strengthen Me?” (Resilience Session 1)
  • “Daily Check-In: How Am I Today?” (Resilience Session 2)
  • “Sources of Strength 1 – What Does Me Good?” (Depression Session 2)

I have a problem while working with me_HeLi-D and need help. I have checked the video guides and the FAQ document but still cannot find a solution. Is there someone I can contact?
